Subject | Re: Proposed Regulation on Tire Inflation |
Comment | So, if a customer declines to have their tire pressure checked without presenting some sort of "documentation," will they be hunted by the California Tire Police? What about documentation? I have successfully checked my own tire pressure for more than 30 years. It takes 5 minutes of my time and I am able to do so in my own driveway. Do you propose that I now must find (every 30 days) a certified "Tire Pressure Professional Facility," wait in line for service, wait for them to hook up "professional" tire-pressure checking equipment, wait for the procedure to complete, then wait for a printout of the "Certificate of Professional Tire Inspection?" This process could take a half hour or longer! This proposed regulation is ridiculously and unnecessarily intrusive into the daily routines and pocketbooks of Californians and offers no verifiable promise for any meaningful impact on climate warming. |
