We have found it is possible to maintain engine combustion over an
entire engine life. This eliminates unwanted diesel fuel producing
increasing emissions as an engine ages. We have found Caterpillar
dealers learning how to measure combustion as a diagnostic tool and
then tuning the diesel engine for maximum fuel savings. This
results in vehicle owner savings and the Caterpillar professional
service centers are taking the engine combustion responsibility
same as a aircraft mechanic signing of an airworthy engine log.
