The recession in construction has taken a severe toll on our
company.  Since this recession began, we have gone from 390
employees to 24 employees. The changes to the on-road and off-road
diesel emission regulations will be a step in the right direction
towards recovery in construction.
 
It is our hope to secure more help in construction for On-Road
Diesel.  It is imperative that you increase the low-use mileage
exemption for construction to 15,000 miles per year.  With the
onset of the recession and the decline in work, many of our on road
vehicles have remained in our yard and many more are often
stationary at the job sites, so they are a very small part of
diesel emissions
