Thank you for releasing a strong, final draft of methane
regulations. I'm writing today to urge you to continue this crucial
leadership by finalizing the strongest methane rules for oil and
gas production in the country. 

Smart policies that reduce methane and other harmful oil and gas
pollutants are exactly what California needs. Once finalized and
fully implemented, these standards will require oil and gas
companies to find and fix leaky equipment. In doing so, they will
not only help position California as a leader on climate change
during a critical time for our country, they will also help improve
health outcomes for Californians, especially those with asthma. And
they will unleash new business opportunities across the state in
leak detection and repair. 

This is the right step for California, and for the country as a
whole. Please finalize these standards as soon as possible.
