Subject | RED STICKER |
Comment | I bought my 2003 kawasaki in 2002, at the time neither the dealer nor DMV could or would tell me any thing about the red sticker program. I recieved a green sticker for the first 3 years and now I get a red sticker because of the VIN number. My bike was built before the law was in effect.( Can we say Ex Post Facto) They say it was a mistake that I recieved a green sticker in the first place. So now besides being limited to where I can ride I'm now limited to WHEN I can ride. If this is really about air quality why not make this rule apply to EVERYONE on the road. For instance make every automobile with the letter C in the VIN only able to drive on mondays. With a D tuesdays and so on. How would you feel if your hard earned money you spent on your vehicle went to waste sitting in a garage? If I was informed ahead of time I wouldn't have bought a bike with a red sticker. So, I end up stuck with a reduced value motorcycle because its use is heavily limited. NOT FAIR. |
