Subject | OHV Red Sticker Program |
Comment | Hello, I understand that the Air Resources Board are meeting to discuss some possible changes to the current Red Sticker program for OHV users. I, along with many others in the Off-Road community, prey that you would please abolish the entire red sticker program and make all bikes green sticker. The Red Sticker program is doing no good. When the program was first introduced I'm sure it's creators had the best of intentions for all of us, I mean we all want to breathe fresh air, right? Unfortunately, the program is not working, it is nothing more than a time waster and money sucker for the DMV, Rangers, Peace Officers and Off-Road enthusiasts. Let's take Hungry Valley OHV for example. A person with a red stickered bike cannot ride there between May and September. However during that same period that same person can ride the same red sticker bike at I-5MX motocross park which is right next to Hungry Valley OHV. How is riding a couple miles away keeping our air cleaner? This same situation is happening all over the State of California. Now sound level and spark arrestor laws I can understand, but not this red sticker law, it's just not working. PLEASE ABOLISH THE RED STICKER PROGRAM!!! Thank you for reading! ---Matt Bilyeu |
