California has done so much to clean up our air since I was a child
and the smog burned my skin, eyes, and lungs, especially during the
summer when I wanted to play.  We still see the smog when we return
into the valley from the north.  It lays like a layer of soot over
us.

I know you have taken a lot of heat from the business community,
who are also vital to our survival.  However, without clean air to
breathe, we would all die--although our pockets may be full of
worthless dollars--because without clean air, there would be no
life.

Please hold the line.  California is a gift to the people.  Please
don't dirty it, not just for me, but for future generations.
