| Comment | My husband and I have lived in the lower Sierras in California for over 30 years, and during this time we have run our entire home on solar energy. Back in "those" days, not a lot of information was available on solar energy, but through books and articles we taught ourselves how to set up an installation of panels. I might add, this was done on a very limited budget, and as money was available, we added and updated our setup. When power outages occur in this area, it has no effect on us and our neighbors who have followed suit. Needless to say, we have had reliable energy, minus no interruptions and no utility bills. And, no negative impact on the environment. Goooo solar!! |
