| Comment | We drive a Chevy Volt, and absolutely love it. In over 10,000 miles so far, we have averaged 136 miles per gallon. It is a roomy, well-equipped, extremely safe and responsive vehicle, and we use it almost exclusively. As a medical professional, my wife needs extremely reliable transportation, and this is it. When we can, we hope to buy an all-electric as well, to replace our second car (which is now rarely used). There is major pent-up demand for new cars, as people have been unable to afford them during the recession. Please do everything you possibly can to support the continued leadership of California in bring electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids (Extendd range electric vehicles) to market at scale. |
