Dear Board Members Past and Present:


I want to thank all of you for working so vigorously, and
diligently to implement new rules and regulations for mobile
sources...

From what I read, and heard discussed, is that a majority of the
air pollution we breathe comprises of mostly motor vehicles.

I believe I was told by one of the experts, at the Carb, that the
statistics are, that about twenty of the motor vehicles on the road
are Diesel vehicles, which pollute about 90% of the total air
pollution. If This is not true, it seems like it ought to be.

I have been a resident of California since birth. I grew up in the
Long Beach area, and remember, that California State University use
to post the smoggy days ,alert heavy, mild and light pollution
days.  I remember, my eyes burning as a kid, and a thick film of
suffocating air layer.

I so far am in excellent health, and hope to maintain that.


I have been a proponent of good health practices all of my life,and
continue to promote good dietary practices, and exercise...



I use to enjoy looking at the mountains in the winter time, and
sometimes other times of the year. It was a great thrill for me to
see the mountains, and the clear, and clean scenery.

I never could understand the reason for the heavy pollution in the
air.


I am well aware that there are a great deal of people in
California, and they are all contributors, to the air we breathe.




The science is out, and far long overdue, to take action to improve
the air quality.


I want to leave the numerous articles off the internet, and invite
all of you to read, and digest the information, on how damaging to
the human body it is to inhale the toxins that are in the air due
to Diesel emissions.


It is extremely bothersome for me, to witness Wreckless, negligent,
and extreme disregard for others around you.


The basic needs in life are food, clothing and shelter.

Close to importance is transportation.

It is obvious, that we have no choice what air we breathe, and when
a polluted gush of air come our way, after a negligent motorist
just spread their soot.

I think I read, that it takes about 500 yards for the diesel
particulate matter, to dissipate.



Since we cant know when a vehicle came by we may be forced to
inhale some air pollution, and who knows why we feel ill after, and
want to sleep.


It is documented, that minor doses of carbon dioxide inhalation
gives us flulike symptoms.
