Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) wishes to express its support of
the proposed AB 118 AQIP Funding Plan for the 2009 - 2010 fiscal
year.  In particular, VCE wishes to highlight our support for
funding advanced technology demonstration projects, particularly
with the focus on off-road vehicles. We agree with ARB staff that
this funding can demonstrate the viability of hybrid and other
technologies that we are working to develop, which can be brought
to the California marketplace and substantially reduce criteria
pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions in the state.

If this funding plan is approved, VCE hopes to partner with ARB
through these demonstration projects and we are confident that they
will yeild very worthwhile results.
